Butterfield Trust wins Friend of the Arts Award for its support of the Singapore arts scene
Singapore – 16 July 2019: Butterfield Trust, a leading global trust and fiduciary services provider, is delighted to announce it has received the Friend of the Arts Award at the Patron of the Arts Awards in Singapore.
Instituted by Singapore National Arts Council in 1983, the Patron of the Arts Awards celebrate organisations and individuals who have contributed significantly towards the development of the Singapore arts scene. Recognised for its contribution to the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Butterfield Trust joins a distinguished group of donors across the automotive, health, hospitality, financial, retail and technology sectors, as they champion the creation and appreciation of the arts in the country.
“Butterfield Trust is honoured to receive the National Arts Council’s Friend of the Arts Award. When we first established our presence in Singapore a year ago, our goal was not only to bring our best-in-class trust and fiduciary services to clients in Asia, but also to contribute to the communities we serve,” said Brian Balleine, Regional Head of Butterfield Trust in Asia. “Being recognised as the Friend of the Arts is a significant milestone for us and shows our commitment to making a difference to Singapore and South-East Asia beyond client service excellence.”
A division of Bermuda-based Butterfield Group, Butterfield Trust comprises separately incorporated trust companies in seven locations—The Bahamas, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, New Zealand, Singapore and Switzerland. In March 2018, Butterfield Trust opened in Singapore to provide professional fiduciary trust services to clients in the region.
The Patron of the Arts Awards ceremony and dinner will be held on 17 July 2019 at Equarius Hotel, Singapore. The awards will be presented by Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth.
